Recycling and Circularity
Here at Perflute we like to use post-consumer recycled fiber feedstocks wherever possible to make our products. And, at the end of life our products are readily recyclable through existing systems and processes.
Paper and cardboard packaging play an important part in the circular economy. Because they are made from a renewable resource – trees – they already are inherently sustainable and circular.
After use, we can recycle them and give them a new lease of life. Recycling facilities turn used paper and cardboard products into new papers, cardboard boxes, gift cards, tissues, paper towels and more.
It is estimated that paper and fibre processors can recycle paper and cardboard up to eight times into other products. Even when the paper has reached the end of its useful life, it can be composted, and its nutrients returned to the soil. It is the ultimate in circularity, renewability, and sustainability.

Recyclable and recycled
Fiber, or cardboard, is the go-to environmental choice for packaging materials. Fiber is made from timber resources that are sustainable, renewable, and is one of the most widely recycled materials in use today. In contrast, flexible plastic bubble packaging is made almost entirely from fossil fuels that are neither sustainable or renewable, and have a very low recycling rate.
Cost competitive
A key benefit of using recycled fiber as the feedstock for Perflute is its low cost. We try to use as much recycled fiber as possible, making Perflute commercially competitive to plastic bubble packing.
